Ultrasound and X-ray Diagnostics

Our clinic provides ultrasound and X-ray diagnostics services as part of a comprehensive diagnostic treatment that enables our veterinary team to accurately diagnose various health problems.

X-ray imaging can detect a number of health problems, and the procedure is quick – it only takes a few seconds to image the area of interest. The device is quiet, which is extremely important for animals that are scared, suffering from pain, and especially for those who have breathing problems. In exceptional cases, the animal may be sedated for X-ray imaging, such as when assessing orthopaedic problems.

Ultrasound diagnostics is also extremely important and sometimes an inevitable part of the diagnostic process. Our clinic offers cardiac and abdominal ultrasound services. An ultrasound examination usually does not require sedation, but it is important that the animal is not fed before arrival, so that the contents in the stomach and intestines do not interfere with the assessment of the internal organs. Ultrasound enables a thorough examination of the dynamics and structure of internal organs and is often used as part of a cardiac examination (colour-doppler).

Both methods are crucial in the diagnostic process and provide us with important information to make an accurate diagnosis and develop your pet’s treatment plan.
