Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Surgery

In addition to orthopaedic examinations and consultations, as well as X-ray and CT diagnostics, our clinic also provides orthopaedic surgery services. Orthopaedic surgery includes procedures on bones, joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments. Bone fractures and ligament ruptures are the most common injuries in pets, and in many cases there are multiple injuries, most often as a result of trauma. To stabilize such injuries, we use advanced surgical techniques to enable restored functionality and optimal healing after surgery. Our surgical room is equipped with state-of-the-art devices, most notably the C-arm, which significantly facilitates the performance of operations.

The services we provide:

  • Orthopaedic examinations and consultations: Detailed assessment and counselling concerning your pet’s orthopaedic problems.
  • X-ray and CT diagnostics: Accurate analysis and visualization of internal structures for accurate diagnosis.
  • 3D Printer technology: Based on the CT results, we make artificial bones in real time and plan a surgical procedure
  • Orthopaedic operations: We perform a wide range of surgical procedures including:
    • Fracture surgeries
    • Patellar luxation corrections (kneecap popping) TTT, DFO, PTO
    • TPLO, TPLO-M (tibial plateau levelling osteotomy) for anterior cruciate ligament ruptures
    • Corrective osteotomies
    • JPS (juvenile pubic symphysiodesis) for hip dysplasia in puppies
    • PAUL (proximal abducted ulna lengthening) for elbow dysplasia
    • DPO (double pelvic osteotomy)
    • Spinal fracture surgeries
    • Other specialised operations

After surgery, pets who are not well enough to return to their owners will be moved to the intensive care unit for continuous monitoring, treatment and round-the-clock care. Many pets will also remain in the intensive care unit for postoperative recovery if the surgery was complex or if the pet is at high risk for complications after surgery.

Our team is dedicated to providing the best possible care for your pets, giving them all the attention and treatment they need to recover as soon as possible.
