Monitoring reproductive health is essential for a safe pregnancy, delivery and recovery. At Pet Vet Care, we provide expert support throughout the entire process, from pregnancy planning to the birth of the puppies or kittens.
We monitor pregnancies using appropriate diagnostic methods, assess foetal development and provide assistance during delivery. When natural delivery is not possible or poses a risk to the mother or her offspring, we perform emergency procedures, including Caesarean sections in dogs and cats.
We also offer practical guidance on postnatal care for mothers and their young, including nutrition, recovery and monitoring their health.
Internal medicine consultations help identify a wide range of health conditions in dogs and cats at an early stage. Based on the clinical examination, symptoms and any necessary diagnostic tests, we determine the appropriate next steps and develop a suitable treatment plan.
Our services include the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular, respiratory, gastrointestinal, hepatobiliary and urinary tract diseases, as well as endocrine and neurological disorders.
We place particular emphasis on taking a thorough medical history and listening carefully to owners, as changes in appetite, behaviour, activity levels or daily habits are often among the earliest signs of illness.
At Pet Vet Care, we perform routine and elective soft tissue surgical procedures in dogs and cats, using inhalational general anaesthesia and carefully monitoring each patient throughout surgery.
Common procedures include castration and spaying, surgical removal and biopsy of masses, wound treatment and repair, skin biopsies and enucleation (surgical removal of the eye).
Before every procedure, we explain the surgical process, anaesthesia, pain management and postoperative care to the owner. Patients requiring additional monitoring following surgery remain under professional supervision until they have recovered sufficiently and are stable.
Ultrasound is an important, non-invasive diagnostic tool that provides detailed insight into the internal organs of dogs and cats.
At Pet Vet Care, we perform abdominal and cardiac ultrasound examinations to help identify abnormalities and assess organ function. Sedation is generally not required, although fasting for several hours before the appointment may be recommended in certain cases.
Ultrasound findings help our veterinarians establish a more accurate diagnosis and determine the most appropriate next steps in treatment.
Laboratory testing provides valuable information about a pet’s overall health and organ function, often helping to identify abnormalities before obvious clinical signs develop.
At Pet Vet Care, our laboratory services include complete blood counts, blood biochemistry, urinalysis, faecal analysis, microscopic examination of samples and rapid tests for tick-borne and certain infectious diseases.
Genetic and DNA testing is available through partnerships with specialised external laboratories. We interpret laboratory results alongside clinical findings to establish an accurate diagnosis and select the most appropriate treatment.
